Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy and medical oncology refer to the treatment of cancer with medications aimed at eliminating or hindering the growth of cancer cells. Chemotherapy is often utilized as part of a cancer treatment plan with other oncologic services, such as surgery or radiation therapy. Chemotherapy options vary widely, and include oral and intravenous forms. Our cancer centers also offer additional medical oncology treatments including hormonal therapy, biotherapy, and targeted therapies. Our medical oncologists work in conjunction with each patient's treatment team to determine a comprehensive treatment plan based on each patient's individual circumstances.

Chemotherapy may be administered on an inpatient or outpatient basis, depending on your needs. Our outpatient infusion centers and inpatient oncology centers are staffed by experienced, certified nurses and specialty skilled staff. With relaxing accommodations, televisions, and a supportive staff, our centers are designed to maximize patient comfort and convenience.
