Bereavement Support

After a loved one has passed away, individuals may experience a variety of emotions. Some may begin to have anxiety, worried that they will not be able to manage their daily routine. Others speak of a sense of guilt, wondering if they could have done more for their loved one, said something different or made better decisions.

It is important to understand that all of these thoughts and feelings are normal. Even more important is to recognize if these emotions begin to impede your ability to lead a productive life. In many cases it is helpful to join a bereavement support group, with individuals going through similar difficulties, or to talk with a professional in a non-judgmental and confidential atmosphere.
