New Jersey’s oldest orthopaedic residency
program has been an integral part of Monmouth Medical Center since
1945. Because the quality of our program, Monmouth was recently
approved to add an additional residency slot, bringing us to two
residents per year.
Residents receive academic instruction and clinical training from
a staff of more than 20 orthopaedic surgeons who use Monmouth as
their primary inpatient hospital.
By becoming part of the medical team and participating in the
department’s active research program, residents learn the
latest in orthopaedic advances and techniques. Upon completion
of the five-year program, they have the skills and knowledge needed
to begin an orthopaedic practice or to enter fellowship training.
