Morning
Report is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday and
from 7:30 to 8 a.m. on Friday. Admissions from the night float
team and from the other admitting teams are presented to attendings
from general internal medicine and various sub-specialties. The
cases are discussed in detail from a practical and patient care-oriented
perspective in a non-confrontational manner. Residents also present
evidence gleaned from the medical literature pertinent to their
care.

Noon Conference is held daily and presents a didactic
forum for the topics listed in the written curriculum. The Noon
Conference curriculum includes Resident-led Journal Club, Bioethics
and Board-Review focused sessions. Attendance at Noon Conference
is mandatory.
Medical
Grand Rounds are held at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. These conferences
are lectures and updates on timely topics in medicine given by
experts in the field. In addition, approximately six multi- departmental
CPCs are presented each year in Medical Grand Rounds.
Tumor Board is at 8 a.m. on Fridays and residents
are expected to attend this conference. This is a multidisciplinary
conference which is usually case-based but also includes topic-oriented
lectures by visiting professors.
