Dr. Wasserman is a graduate of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency training at Mount Sinai as the chief resident in 2000. Over the next ten years, Dr. Wasserman was the Residency Site Director and, for the last five years, Associate Director at Jersey City Medical Center, a level II trauma facility in Hudson County, New Jersey. In July of 2008, Dr. Wasserman joined Emergency Medical Associates as the Director of Medical Education before accepting the position of Vice Chairman and Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in February 2010. His interests include trauma care, airway management, therapeutic hypothermia, patient quality and safety, and ED administration. |

Dr. Ugras Rey is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry, Osteopathic, in Stratford, NJ. She completed her dual residency in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY in 2006. Since that time, she has worked full time at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Initially she worked full time in a clinical capacity, later became CQI director and is currently the Associate Medical Director of the ED since 2008. She has published a chapter in Rosen's textbook and is a Member of the Board of Health in Paramus, NJ. Her interests include trauma care, cardiac care, patient quality and safety, and ED administration. |
