Diabetes Self Management Classes For All Ages

Accredited by the American Diabetes Association

We offer...

  • Classes taught by Certified Diabetes Educators - Nurses and Nutritionists

  • Each group class includes 10 hours of diabetes education taught over 5 sessions

  • We offer education in individual counseling sessions as well

  • Spouses and family members are encouraged to attend

We participate with Insurance Plans. Medicare reimbursement is also accepted. Please see link above for further information.

The diabetes classes are a series of 4 classes and one follow-up class.  Both daytime and evening classes are being offered.  Pre-registration is required at

FREE Diabetes Support Groups

February 29th   6:30-7:30 p.m. – Diabetes and Heart Disease
 Did you know that Adults with diabetes have heart disease death rates about 2 to 4 times higher than adults without diabetes?  With February being American Heart Month, now is a good time to review the strategies for keeping your heart in good health when you have diabetes.  We will discuss food, exercise, stress management and maintaining good blood sugars to keep your heart in its best shape.
  
April 25th   6:30-7:30 p.m. – Blood Glucose Monitoring
Ever wonder what makes your blood sugars fluctuate so widely?  Questioning if your meter is accurate?  At this support group we will talk about why we should be monitoring our blood sugars.  We will discuss blood sugar targets and what effects our blood sugars.  We will discuss the options available to monitoring the sugars and compare the features of the different monitors.  This support group will help you to make real changes to help you achieve better sugar control.
