The Saint Barnabas Outpatient Centers has now added an MRI unit at the Bedminster location. This will bring the renowned services of the Saint Barnabas Imaging Center’s MRI Department to a more convenient location for our Somerset County patients.
What is MRI?
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a highly advanced diagnostic test that provides detailed images of the body. It uses a large magnet, radio waves and a computer to scan your body and produce particularly clear pictures that cannot be seen on conventional X-rays.
Your results
Same-day test results are available due to innovative voice recognition technology that faxes reports directly to each patient’s physician and eliminates delays caused by typing. In many instances, results are faxed within an hour or two of the patient’s test.
Our Team
The Saint Barnabas radiologic team has provided the highest quality imaging services to New Jersey residents for more than 30 years. The team consists of board-certified and licensed radiologists, licensed and registered technologists and fully trained nurses.
The MRI team includes physicians who have, combined, 30 years of MRI experience with the Director holding subspecialty certification in both neuroradiology and
interventional radiology. The technical supervisors also hold advanced MRI certification as well as the majority of their staff.
The Barnabas Health Family Imaging and Breast Center in addition to MRI also offers triple assurance, all-digital mammograms; DEXA scans (bone density testing); ultrasound; x-ray; flouroscopy; and vascular studies.
