Livingston, NJ— The Multiple Sclerosis Center at Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center will host an education program about Injection Site Reactions for those with Multiple Sclerosis on Monday, October 24, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Ambulatory Care Center, located at 200 South Orange Ave. in Livingston.
Those living with Multiple Sclerosis must oftentimes take injectable medication that can cause dermatological issues. Those with MS typically face injection site reactions such as skin redness, swelling, itchiness, discoloration and tenderness at the place where the injection is given.
This program is part of the MS Lunch Time Lecture Series and will feature Brian Machler, MD, who will speak about these reactions and how to lessen the risk of them.
Dr. Machler is the Co-Chief of the Division of Dermatology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. He graduated from Fairfield University and UMDNJ - New Jersey Medical School, and was an intern at Yale - New Haven Hospital and a resident at University of Miami - Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Lunch will be provided.
