A certified hand therapist specializes in developing diverse treatment
programs that include wound care, therapeutic modalities, exercises
and activities that promote specific hand movements and fine motor
control.
We have occupational therapists who are certified in hand therapy,
who have a minimum of five years of clinical experience, including
2,000 hours or more in direct practice hand therapy. In addition,
the certified hand therapist must successfully pass a comprehensive
test of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper extremity
rehabilitation.
We treat a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to:
- Tendon injury
- Nerve laceration
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Upper extremity fractures
- Lateral/medial epicondylitis
- Arthritis
