The Barnabas Health Ambulatory Surgery Center is designed for
patients requiring surgery or other procedures that can be accommodated
without an overnight stay. Patients and their families can be secure
in the knowledge that they are being cared for by our highly trained
and skilled surgical team, comprised of Saint Barnabas surgeons,
anesthesiologists, experienced surgical and critical care nurses
and technicians. The facility houses seven full-service operating
rooms, three gastrointestinal endoscopy suites and three minor
procedure rooms. To accommodate our adult and pediatric patients,
separate recovery areas have been designed, keeping patient privacy
and any special needs in mind. Parents may accompany children through
the induction of anesthesia and be at their bedside in recovery
when the child is awakening.
