The Division of Allergy and Immunology provides diagnosis and
treatment for children from birth through 21 years of age who have
allergies, recurrent or unusual infections or are suspected of
having an immunologic deficiency. Diagnosis and treatment for every
form of allergy from allergic rhinitis, food allergies, asthma
and eczema to insect sting allergies, hives and drug allergies
are provided by a physician who is board certified in pediatrics
and pediatric allergy and immunology. A clinical coordinator and
nurse practitioner assist in caring for patients. Unique features
of the division include:
- Help in determining whether a problem is a chronic infection,
an immune deficiency or an allergy
- Allergy testing, pulmonary function testing and immunologic
testing
- Access to full range of specialists and subspecialists at Children’s
Hospital of New Jersey.
