BELLEVILLE, N.J. -- The Clara Maass Medical Center Auxiliary recently presented four New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA) awards to individuals who were instrumental in providing support to the volunteer fund-raising organization at the Medical Center.
Auxilian Angie Linfante of Belleville received the "Rookie of the Year" award for providing administrative services to the organization. Kathy Lesko, a resident of Glen Ridge and Director of Public Relations at Clara Maass, received the "Catalyst" award for all-around support in helping the Auxiliary achieve its goals. Belleville resident Lucille Gasiewicz, a past president of the Auxiliary, received the "Advocacy" award for her work in keeping the group informed about issues related to medicine. The Medical Staff of Clara Maass also received an award for its continued support over the years of the Clara Maass Auxiliary.
The Auxiliary is a self-governing volunteer membership organization whose members work together to assist Clara Maass in promoting the health and welfare of the community. In addition to its monthly meetings, Auxilians sponsor eight fundraisers a year. Past fundraisers have included casino night, raffles, jewelry sales, plant sales, and a fashion show.
