Belleville, NJ –Clara Maass Medical Center in partnership with the United Way of North Essex will host “Healthy Aging,” a free health screening and informational session, on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at the United Way of North Essex located at 60 South Fullerton Avenue in Montclair.
The evening will include a free blood pressure, cholesterol and body fat analysis screening beginning at 5:45 p.m., followed by an informational session at 7 p.m., presented by members of the Clara Maass Medical Center medical staff. Topics will include healthy eating habits and the importance of regular cholesterol screenings; how high blood pressure may affect the kidneys; and balance testing and other measures for fall prevention.
