TOMS RIVER, New Jersey, October 3, 2007--- The Laboratory at Community Medical Center processes 8 million specimens a year, making it the busiest hospital laboratory in Ocean County.
A core staff of highly trained pathologists and technologists and technicians work in Community’s fully computerized clinical laboratory, where thousands of different diagnostic tests are performed — from a standard blood count or urinalysis to the new generation of more complex tests. For residents of Ocean County, providing convenient access to this busy lab is a host of conveniently located outpatient drawing stations.
“For our patients, our off-site locations offer prompt service by competent, skilled and caring phlebotomists,” says Thomas G. Manganiello, M.T., ASCP, laboratory outreach manager. “Additionally, these outpatient sites provide easy accessibility and nearby parking, and walk-in patients are welcome, as no appointments are required.”
Community offers outpatient drawing stations in The Heart Building at 731 Lacey Road in Forked River, the Community Health Complex located at 63 Lacey Road and in the Whiting Shopping Center, 108 Lacey Road in Whiting, at the Holiday Plaza I Mini Mall located at 730 Jamaica Boulevard, and The Commons Professional Building, 888 Commons Way in Toms River.
For hours or other information about these drawing services, call Community Medical Center Laboratory Services at 732-557-8138.
