TOMS RIVER, NJ, JANUARY 6, 2009 – The Center for Diabetes Education at Community Medical Center offers education and support to people of all ages, with diabetes and to those who care for and about them. Certified Diabetes Educators provide educational sessions to meet the needs of all of those with diabetes.
The Center for Diabetes Education is located at 591 Lakehurst Road in Toms River.
Several programs are offered on a monthly basis. The Diabetes Monthly Support Group discusses a different topic related to diabetes self management. The support group is offered monthly on the third Monday at 2:00 pm and every other month is repeated in the evening on the third Tuesday at 7pm.
An Insulin Pump Support Group meets on the alternate third Tuesday of every other month at 7pm. The group discusses managing diabetes wearing an insulin pump.
