TOMS RIVER, NJ – Adjusting to life with a sleep disorder can present many challenges. The support of others with the same disorder can be very helpful. On Thursday, April 22 at 6 p.m., Community Medical Center will host the American Sleep Apnea Association’s Network Meeting “AWAKE: Alert, Well and Keeping Energetic,” an Ocean County Sleep Apnea Awareness Group, in the hospital’s Pecora Auditorium, 99 Highway 37 West.
Gerald Ferencz, MD, board certified neurologist and sleep medicine specialist, will present a discussion on Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Darshana Patel, MD, board certified neurologist and sleep medicine specialist, will present a discussion on Insomnia. Several vendors specializing in sleep disorder equipment such as CPAP and BIPAP will be on display. Refreshments will be served and raffles held throughout the night.
