TOMS RIVER, NJ (February 1, 2010) – Community Medical Center, an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System, announced today that a new study ranks its clinical quality among the top 5% in the nation. The study by HealthGrades, the leading independent healthcare ratings organization, analyzed patient outcomes data at each of the nation’s 5,000 nonfederal hospitals over a three-year period and named hospitals in the top five percent as HealthGrades Distinguished Hospitals for Clinical Excellence™.
This is the sixth consecutive year that Community Medical Center has been awarded the Distinguished Hospitals for Clinical Excellence™ and been ranked in the top 5% of hospitals in the nation. Community Medical Center is one of only 269 hospitals nationally and one of only five hospitals in New Jersey to receive this distinction from HealthGrades.
