The Weight Loss Institute of New Jersey has opened at Community Medical Center. The Institute offers surgical options for individuals requiring weight loss surgery, as well as individualized nutritional counseling, group counseling and nutritional counseling for disease management.
Individuals who have tried and failed to lose weight, have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30-59 with obesity related medical problems or are 80-100 pounds overweight may be candidates for weight loss surgery. Our program offers a comprehensive approach to weight loss including a lifestyle management component to help individuals achieve their weight loss goals and gain control of obesity-related disease such as diabetes.
Drs. Sergey Grachev, James McCaughan, Emil Shakov and Eugene Zurkovsky have all been credentialed in bariatric surgery and work closely with the Bariatric Surgery Navigator, Maria Bohn, RN, RD, CDE, to help patients achieve successful long-term weight loss.
