March 20, 2012, Toms River, New Jersey - The Weight Loss Institute of New Jersey at Community Medical Center is offering a free educational session, “Everything you ever wanted to know about weight loss surgery but were afraid to ask,” on Thursday, April 12 at 7 pm in the Riverwood 1 Building on the hospital’s campus. Ample free parking is available.
The program will discuss the options available for individuals who are considering weight loss surgery including latest treatment options, risk factors and benefits.
Dr. James McCaughan, a Board Certified physician at that Weight Loss Institute of New Jersey, will lead the discussion along with the program’s nurse and dietician. They will help individuals understand who may benefit from weight loss surgery and how to navigate through the weight loss surgery process. In addition, the importance of behavior modifications and nutritional considerations will be discussed.
The Weight Loss Institute of New Jersey also offers monthly support groups for individuals undergoing weight loss surgery or for anyone interested in learning about surgical weight loss. Individuals who have already gone through weight loss surgery also find this support group beneficial to help them achieve their weight loss goals.
