Only Inpatient Hospice Unit Celebrates First Anniversary

“For more than 20 years Van Dyke Hospice and Palliative
Care Center at Community Medical Center has been providing
services to Ocean County residents who are coping with advanced
illness,” says Deborah Jack, RN, Director of the Inpatient
Unit. “In 2006, we expanded the program with
the introduction of Ocean County’s first, and only,
inpatient hospice unit.” The Unit, located in
a designated area at Community Medical Center, offers patients
and families compassionate care in private rooms with a 24-hour
visiting policy and family relaxation lounge.
