Saint Barnabas Hospice Offers Bereavement Services

“Grieving is a process that has no time table,” says Judith Zucker, LCSW, Bereavement Coordinator for the Barnabas Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center in West Orange, an affiliate of Barnabas Health.  “Each of us mourns differently and at different rates.  It is important to be aware of how grieving is impacting your daily life.  At some point it may be helpful to seek bereavement counseling for assistance.”

As part of its commitment to provide exceptional health care services to the community, the Barnabas Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center offers a wide range of bereavement services to address the needs of those who have experienced the loss of a loved one.

Following is a list of current bereavement programs and services offered by the Barnabas Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center.

  • Daughters Who Have Lost Mothers
  • Spouses Who Have Lost Partners
  • General Bereavement
  • Jewish Bereavement Services
  • Parents Who Have Lost Adult Children
  • Family Bereavement – Children, ages 5 – 17, and Parents
  • Individual Bereavement Counseling Services
