“Bow Wow Pow Wow” Program for Dog Lovers

New Jersey On Wednesday, June 1, at 7:00 p.m., the Barnabas Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center (BHHPCC) will host The Heart of the Matter, an information talk for dog owners –  the second program in the Bow Wow Pow Wow series. Proceeds will support the Paws for Patients hospice canine therapy program which provides certified therapy dog visits for patients and families who receive care and services from the BHHPCC.

Dr. Gordon Peddle, Board-certified Veterinary Cardiologist, the program presenter who is on staff with the Animal Emergency and Referral Associates and Animal Eye Center of New Jersey, will review the warning signs and symptoms of canine heart disease as well as provide an overview of the latest diagnostic methods used to develop a comprehensive treatment plan.

The program will be held in the Corporate building of Barnabas Health, located at 95 Old Short Hills Road in West Orange The cost for the program is $12. Pre-registration is required.
