Testimonials
Following are excerpts from letters and survey comments we
receive each day.
Dear Reverend G.,
On behalf of the family of G.W. I’d like to thank you
for your prayers, kindness and comfort.
My husband K. and I were deeply touched. Not only were
you kind enough to visit G. when she was so ill, you called
us and gave comfort when she died. I can’t tell
you what that meant to K. and later his brothers, when they
arrived and we told them. We believe you are truly a good
person and the Lord works through you. There are people who
can be ministers but not all have that special gift such
as you have.
Again Reverend G., thank you, M.W.

REGARDING VAN DYKE HOSPICE TEAM #7
“Dear Kathy and the whole team at Hospice:
‘What can I say.’ That is the phrase that my father would use when
any of his children made him happy. Thank you for
making it possible for all of us.
Daughter of John W.

“My sincere thanks to all the Hospice Team that cared for my
Dad. He was given the best care and treated with
dignity and respect throughout his final days.
Jane and Stephanie in particular were angels sent
our way. Their kindness helped my Mom accept and prepare for my Dad’s
passing. Thank you.”
Daughter of Harold W.
“Hospice Staff,
Just a note to thank your organization for providing
such loving and compassionate care as our loved
one faced his end of life issues. Everything
always ran smoothly and we always knew whatever
questions we had, the answer was always a phone
call away. Please give special thanks to Jane,
RN and CNA, Stephanie. These two women were not
just professional, they were loving and compassionate
to such an extreme degree. They were like loving
family to my mother-in-law when we were unavailable. Jane prepared
Mom for the inevitable and made her understand the entire process.
We came to love her! She became a friend. Stephanie is one of the
most compassionate people I have ever met. She was truly loving. My
father in law was in such caring hands. Thank you for your wonderful
organization, but even bigger thanks for sending these two Angels
our way.”
Daughter in law of Harold W.
“Dear Van Dyke Hospice,
Without you I wouldn’t have known where to turn for the endless
number of decisions one must make in a time of
grief. I just couldn’t
have managed without your help. Thank you for your
kind words and your understanding hearts.”
Family of John C.
“Your compassion and caring are appreciated. The way you treated
my mother Helen D. was wonderful. These small words can’t express
how thankful I am that there are people like all of you who really care.”
Daughter of Helen D.
“My family and I want to thank each of you and let you know how
much we appreciate all that you did to make Mom’s last years so
special. Your compassion, care, concern and dedication improved her
quality of life immeasurably. She so looked forward to your visits and
enjoyed your warm companionship as much as the excellent care your provided.
She was a very fortunate woman to have such a wonderful team of caregivers
to help her through her final days. With sincere thanks.”
Daughter of Jacqueline S.

“How can one describe a grateful heart? There is nothing I would
change relating to the care and sincere concern that was extended to
me. My beloved Father was at the threshold of glory and hospice lifted
my every care and concern allowing me to totally enjoy my father’s
final days on earth. I am confident of this very thing, that because
of the work of the Cross (Christ’s payment for sin) that my father
stands in the presence of our Beloved Savior. Hospice played a tremendous
part in enabling me to rejoice. I thank God for you and the entire staff
that touched my father’s life during this time. May God continue
to use you for His Glory! With much appreciation and affection, Ruth
B.”
“We were treated like family and that meant a lot to me. My mother

a thing, you are wonderful. Thank you!”

the end. Thank you for the great job!”
