LAKEWOOD, NJ ---- Kimball Medical
Center Podiatrist Hal Ornstein, DPM is one of two physicians
elected to receive the 2009 Podiatry Management Lifetime
Achievement Award and will be inducted into the Podiatry
Management’s Podiatry Hall of Fame. Dr.
Ornstein is the 26th podiatrist to receive this honor, and
is Chairman of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice
Management.
Dr. Ornstein has a long list of accomplishments, which date
back to his days in medical school. As a student at
Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Ornstein served as
co-chair of the American Podiatric Medical Student’s
Association and was also the liaison to the American Association
of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine. After graduating,
he also helped to create a post-graduate association.
Dr. Ornstein completed his internship at the University
of Southern California Medical Center, and completed two
residencies- one at the University of Southern California
and the other at the University of California, Los Angeles
Medical Center.
Dr. Ornstein later rejuvenated the membership of the American
Academy of Podiatric Practice Management, which now has 1,200
members. He is currently a contributing editor of the
American Podiatric Management Association News; is a member
of Podiatry Management Magazine’s editorial board,
and serves as Chairman of the American Academy of Podiatric
Practice Management.
Dr. Ornstein has a successful private practice in Howell,
NJ. He and his wife, Anna, reside in Howell with their
two sons, Tyler and Zachary.
Dr. Ornstein will receive his Lifetime Achievement award
during an awards ceremony at a special luncheon on July 31
as part of the APMA Scientific Meeting in Toronto, Canada.
