Monmouth Medical Center Announces Nursing Award Winners - National Nurses Week May 6-12

LONG BRANCH, NJ, JUNE 6, 2006 - Nursing is one of the more challenging and rewarding careers a person can choose. From pediatrics to intensive care to nurse practitioners; nurses have the opportunity to explore and practice in virtually every field of medicine. Every day nurses save and improve lives, teach people how to achieve better health, and advocate for patients’ quality of care and quality of life.

Monmouth Medical Center has announced the following winners of its annual nursing awards program held in honor of national nurses week. Each year, the hospital selects its winners from a pool of nominees that are chosen by their peers.

The Monmouth Medical Center nurses were recognized for the difference they make in patients’ lives – as well as for supporting their coworkers so that they can perform to the best of their abilities. Their passion, commitment and dedication to the field of nursing helps the hospital provide the highest level of clinical care.
