– Sang Sim, M.D. of Monmouth
Medical Center has recently been accepted onto the National
Prostate Cancer Patterns of Care Committee. Dr. Sim joins physicians
from such prestigious institutions as Memorial Sloan-Kettering
Cancer Center, Fox Chase Cancer Center, MD Anderson Cancer
Center and Massachusetts General Hospital.
The Patterns of Care Committee, supported by a grant from the
National Cancer Institute and administered by the American College
of Radiology, has conducted surveys of the structure, process
and outcomes of care for patients treated with radiation therapy
for more than 25 years and seeks to improve the quality of care
received by cancer patients by conducting national surveys of
radiation therapy delivery.
Sang Sim, M.D., a board-certified radiation oncologist, joined
Monmouth Medical Center in 2003. Dr. Sim earned his doctor of
medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry
of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where
he was named Valedictorian. He completed his residency in the
Department of Radiation Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering
Cancer Center. His research has been published by Clinical Lung
Cancer and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology,
and Physics. Dr. Sim is also a contributing author in “Brachytherapy:
Atlas of Procedures in Gynecologic Oncology. He is a Diplomate
of the American Board of Radiology and the national Board of
Medical Examiners.
