West Long Branch, N.J. -- Neurologist Elena L. Ivashina, M.D., has joined the medical staff of Monmouth Medical Center.
Dr. Ivashina received her medical degree from the Riga Medical Institute in Riga, Latvia. After completing several residencies in Russia, Dr. Ivashina served her neurology residency program at Boston Medical Center in Massachusetts, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. She was awarded a Fellowship in Movement Disorders at Boston Medical Center.
Before joining Monmouth Medical Center, Ivashina practiced at Kingston Neurological Associates in Kingston, New York and Shore Neurology in Toms River, New Jersey. She currently practices at Garden State Neurology & Neuro-Oncology in West Long Branch, New Jersey.
Dr. Ivashina is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is also a member of the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Ivashina has published research regarding Parkinson's Disease in a number of professional journals.
