LONG BRANCH, N.J., October 13, 2011 — Nearly 100 physicians from throughout New Jersey gathered recently for a Monmouth Medical Center seminar that has grown to become the largest regional ob/gyn conference in the state.
Now in its 20th year, the “Cutting Edge” conference is held each summer at the Ocean Place Resort & Conference Center in Long Branch to give participants the opportunity to learn what is current concerning the management of the gynecological and obstetrical patient.
“Keeping our physicians and medical professionals at the forefront of obstetrical and gynecologic medicine is essential to our mission as doctors and educators and assures we truly stay on the ‘cutting edge’,” says Robert A. Graebe, M.D., chairman and residency program director of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Monmouth Medical Center.
The day-long seminar focused on a host of areas, including urogynecology, genetic counseling, osteoporosis and counseling for female sexual dysfunction. This year’s keynote speaker, Katherine Sherif, M.D., associate professor of Medicine, chief clinical services in women’s health and the director of the Drexel Center for Women’s Health, at Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, addressed primary care medicine for the gynecologist.
