LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth Medical Center, a Barnabas Health facility, has been granted ultrasound accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR) Ultrasound Committee.
With more than 30,000 members, the ACR is the principal organization of radiologists, radiation oncologists, and clinical medical physicists in the U.S. and awards accreditation to organizations committed to providing the highest level of image quality, safety and patient care.
This particular accreditation recognizes the gynecological and ultrasound services at Monmouth Medical Center, a collaborative effort of a successful physics quality assurance program, clinical image submissions performed by Monmouth’s lead technologist, Michelle Martin, and diagnostic reports from Yasmeen Shariff, M.D., clinical chairperson for ultrasound at Monmouth Medical Center.
