LONG BRANCH, N.J. — The Center for Diabetes Education at Monmouth Medical Center, a Barnabas Health facility, is offering “Introduction to Insulin Pumps,” a free class for insulin users on Wednesday, February 22, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Center for Diabetes Education located at the hospital’s Maysie Stroock Pavilion.
Part of the Diabetes Education Series, the class is designed for insulin users interested in learning more about how insulin pump therapy can improve their quality of life. The class will provide instruction on how an insulin pump delivers insulin and what it means to wear an insulin pump daily.
Monmouth Medical Center’s comprehensive diabetes education classes are designed to help individuals manage their diabetes by providing education and continued support in an informal atmosphere conducive to learning. The program is taught by registered nurses and dietitians who are certified diabetic educators.
