Monmouth Medical Center Behavioral Health Services include comprehensive
mental health programs for children, adolescents and adults diagnosed
with psychiatric and dual disorders. All programs are led by a multidisciplinary
staff of experienced professionals who have advanced training and
certification in all facets of behavioral health.
Specialized clinical tracks and behavioral health services are
offered to meet the unique needs of different age groups and those
with specific diagnoses. Services include crisis intervention, inpatient
care, short-term care, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient
programs and traditional outpatient care.
Monmouth Medical Center is a state-designed emergency screening
service for Monmouth County. Crisis intervention, stabilization,
mobile outreach, crisis hotline and family crisis services are
provided. Services can be accessed through the Emergency Department

The 19-bed CCIS at Monmouth Medical Center provides inpatient care
for children and adolescents age 5 to 17. This intensive therapeutic
treatment program is led by board-certified/ eligible child and
adolescent psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team of specialists
in child and adolescent behavioral health who provide comprehensive
assessment, evaluation and treatment of youngsters in acute crisis.

In addition to voluntary and involuntary programs, Monmouth Medical
Center's inpatient services include a special treatment track,
which provides substance abuse counseling.
MMC's 16-bed short-term care facility provides rapid and intensive
treatment for the most severely mentally ill. The STCF meets all
state-defined criteria for short-term care facilities and offers
an alternative to involuntary state psychiatric hospitalization.
Monmouth Medical Center's partial hospitalization programs, offer
intensive full-day psychiatric treatment, social support, substance
abuse education and treatment as well as vocational rehabilitation
for clients who are chronically mentally ill or who have prolonged
disability due to major psychiatric illness.
