
Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (NBIMC) and the family of Mary
Anne Ahearn, a heart transplant recipient in 1990, joined together
to host a walk to benefit heart failure and transplant patients
in her memory. Proceeds from will
help to purchase post-transplant medications and equipment
to evaluate and treat heart failure patients who come to NBIMC
from all over the State of New Jersey.
NBIMC's Heart transplant program ranked #9 in the nation by volume with short and long-term survival rates that consistently exceed national benchmarks. By the end of 2011, we project that NBIMC doctors will have performed more than 650 transplant surgeries. NBIMC was also named among the top 50 hospitals for specialty care in Heart and Heart Surgery by U.S. News Media Group's America's Best Hospitals.

Verona Park in Verona, NJ. Join us for a great day of
fun with entertainment, food and prizes in a beautiful location. Children
and adults will enjoy the scenic lakeside path, playground,
pedal boats and gorgeous fall foliage.
