The Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Division of Surgical Oncology provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for adult patients with cancer, including tumors of the breast, lymph nodes, thyroid and parathyroid glands, esophagus, stomach, colon and rectum, adrenal glands, liver and bile ducts, pancreas, and other major organs; as well as skin cancers, soft tissue sarcomas, and hereditary cancer syndromes.
Working closely with medical and radiation oncologists, and other
oncology specialists, the surgical oncologist directly oversees
the planning and delivery of care that is individually optimized
to address each patient's unique healthcare needs.
