Enlargement of the Prostate - Benign Prostatic Hyperpasia (BPH)

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate that can lead to difficulty in urinating. Surgical treatment requires making incisions in the prostate where it meets the bladder. This relaxes the opening to the bladder, decreasing resistance to the flow of urine.
