The
treatment of transitional cell cancers involving the urinary
lining of the kidney or ureter require the removal of the
kidney, the ureter and the bladder cuff, which connects
the ureter to the bladder. The robotic procedure requires
only a few tiny incisions in the abdomen. The kidney is
cut into small pieces before removal and the ureter and
bladder cuff are also removed.
