Newark, NJ – Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System, recently named Darrell K. Terry, FACHE, Vice President of Operations.
Mr. Terry has been a member of the senior management team at Newark Beth Israel for more than a decade. His responsibilities include operational oversight of several clinical and non-clinical departments as well as the operations of the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, located at Newark Beth Israel. NBIMC provides comprehensive health services to the greater Newark community and is a major referral and treatment center for patients throughout New Jersey

Mr. Terry is a graduate of Rutgers University, with a bachelor’s of arts degree and a certificate in business management. He also has a graduate certificate in health care management and a master’s degree in health care administration from Seton Hall University. Mr. Terry is board certified in health care management by the American College of Health Care Executives Board of Governors and is a graduate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System Leadership Institute. Recently, Mr. Terry became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leaders. This national distinction is awarded to healthcare leaders who demonstrate through academic and experiential criteria that they are committed to providing high-quality service to their patients and the community.
As a health care executive, Mr. Terry has worked with a variety health care entities including the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, American Vascular Association and the March of Dimes. He currently serves on the boards of Integrity House, Jewish Renaissance Medical Center and the Bridge to Recovery.
Mr. Terry, a resident of South Orange, is married to Renee and is the father of three children, Darrell Jr., a sophomore at Penn State University, Gabrielle, a freshman at Temple University and two-year-old baby Jordan.
