Physician Recognition Celebration at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center

Newark, NJ--On December 8th, the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Foundation hosted its first annual Physician Recognition Celebration to thank all physicians at NBIMC and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey for the excellent medical care they provide to patients.

Marc Berson, NBIMC/CHNJ Board Chairman, and John A, Brennan, MD, Executive Director, addressed the group of more than 50 physicians and thanked them for their commitment to excellence.

“We are delighted to honor those members of our medical staff who have contributed so much to the success of the hospital,” said John A, Brennan, MD, Executive Director. “Through the efforts of so many, we have been able to build upon an outstanding reputation to provide the most advanced medical care possible to the community.”

A highlight of the evening was the recognition of those physicians who have financially supported the hospital.  Physicians who gave $1,000 or more from December 1, 2008 through November 30, 2009 received a specially designed pin.  Five physicians were recognized with a Physician Philanthropist Award plaque for their extra philanthropic support and/or extraordinary assistance in securing philanthropic support from others.  Physician Philanthropist Awards were given to Victor Parsonnet, MD, Manpreet Sahota, MD, Najam Wasty MD, Mark Zucker MD, and Craig Saunders, MD.
