The Pediatric Developmental Center provides medically diagnostic services and treatment of developmental problems, behavioral difficulties or learning delays. Referrals to special services or schools can be provided.
Dr. Morse is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her general pediatric training at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. She then went on to complete a residency in pediatric and adult neurology at Tufts New England Medical Center/Floating Hospital for Children in Boston, Massachusetts. In addition, she completed a pediatric-epilepsy fellowship at Tufts-New England Medical Center/Floating Hospital for Children. Before joining the staff at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Dr. Morse practiced medicine in the Division of Pediatric Neurology at Tufts New England Medical Center/Floating Hospital for Children. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Epilepsy Society, the Child Neurology Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Morse is board certified in Neurology with special qualifications in Child Neurology. The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes
treats all endocrine disorders in children, including:
Diabetes, Growth Disorders, Obesity, Polycystic Ovarian
Syndrome, Bone Disease, Hyperlipidemia, Pituitary Disease,
Early and Late Puberty, Thyroid Disease, and Adrenal
Disease. The Diabetes Program is recognized by the
American Diabetes Association and offers team-centered
evaluation and management of Juvenile Diabetes and
endocrine-related diagnosis. State-of-the-art diabetes
therapy places an emphasis on insulin pumps and continuous
glucose sensors. Staff members are active investigators.
Our current research addresses Type 1 Diabetes and
growth hormone therapy. Our team of certified diabetic
educators is made up of Nurse Practitioners, Registered
Nurses, Registered Dieticians, and Clinical Social

Dr. Dennis Brenner graduated from the State University of New
York Downstate School of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York and attended
residency and fellowship at Schneider Children’s Hospital
at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He then worked for four years
at Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts
as both a pediatric endocrinologist and an Associate Medical Director
for Clinical Informatics before joining Saint Barnabas in December,

Dr. Oppenheimer graduated from Albert Einstein School of Medicine in the Bronx, New York where she also completed her pediatric residency and fellowship in pediatric endocrinology. She worked at Nassau County Medical Center on Long Island, NY for two years and then joined the endocrinology staff at Children’s Hospital of New Jersey and Saint Barnabas Medical Center. The Division of Pediatric Psychiatry evaluates, diagnoses and treats children with highly specific learning or behavioral difficulties. The program works in tandem with school-based Child Study Teams. The Division of Pediatric Pulmonology uses advanced technologies for the treatment and management of respiratory-related disorders including Asthma and Cystic Fibrosis (CF). A team of physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and social workers provide an individual action plan for each patient and ongoing patient education. As an Affiliate Center of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the program is involved in ongoing research studies for the treatment of CF.
Dr. Bisberg, a graduate of Cornell University Medical School and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at UMDNJ, has been caring for asthma and Cystic Fibrosis patients for more than 25 years. Prior to becoming Chief of the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology at Saint Barnabas in 2002, she was Director of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center where she also served as Chairperson of the Pediatric Asthma Committee and Clinical Project manager for the Inner City Asthma Intervention Program. Dr Bisberg’s dedication to her patients has prompted her participation in many community outreach programs as well as state-wide endeavors, including: the Newark Pediatric Asthma Coalition, the Pediatric/Adult Asthma Coalition of New Jersey, Chairperson of the Pediatric Pulmonology Committee and pediatric representative to the Region II Asthma Summit for the New Jersey Thoracic Society. She also serves as the Director of the Knights of Pythias Cystic Fibrosis Center, an affiliate center of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Dr. Chalom -- one of three board-certified pediatric rheumatologists in the state of New Jersey - provides comprehensive care for infants, children and adolescents with rheumatologic disorders. She received her medical degree from Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed her training in pediatrics and pediatric rheumatology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Chalom is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Chalom also serves on the executive board of the Arthritis Foundation of New Jersey. As Chairperson of the Foundation’s Juvenile Arthritis Committee, she helped initiate a summer camp for children with rheumatic disorders. Dr. Chalom has been honored for her work in Pediatric Rheumatology by the American Medical Association and the Arthritis Association of New Jersey. She has written numerous articles on rheumatologic disorders and their treatments, as well as chapters in pediatric textbooks on topics such as Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus and Lyme disease. Dr. Debra Gill, Ph.D is a Licensed Psychologist with more than 10 years experience running group programs for weight management. She has been featured in Family Circle and Parenting magazines for her work with teenagers and families who want to adopt more active and healthful ways of living. She has clinical expertise in treating individuals and addressing the emotional, social and practical complexities of weight loss, body image, eating disorders, and lifestyle change. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Weight Management and Eating Disorders at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center and earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a B.A. as a Jefferson Scholar at the University of Virginia (UVA).
