Women Supporting Women:
Stress Management & Group Support for Gynecological Cancer Patients: A six-week program is now available to help women with gyncelogical cancers cope with the feelings generated by this illness. Each session offers an opportunity for group discussion and problem-solving, as well as instruction and practice in a variety of stress management techniques. Participants will learn progressive muscle relaxation, breathing exercizes and visualization--techniques shown to be effective in managing stressful experiences.

Saint Barnabas Women's Health/Parent Education Programs:
Ongoing classes are offered, including childbirth preparation, refresher childbirth, sibling preparation, breastfeeding, grandparenting, marvelous multiples, pets and babies, fatherhood series for fathers-to-be or new dads. Infertility Support Groups:
The Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Science offers two ongoing programs on the fourth floor of the east wing at Saint Barnabas: The Infertility and IVF Support Group is held the second and fourth Wednesday of the month for women experiencing infertility. The Donor Egg/Sperm Support Group is an eight-week session for couples offered the first and third Wednesday of each month. To register, call (973) 322-5356.
Bereavement Support Group: Growing Through Loss:
The "Growing Through Loss" Bereavement Support Group meets for six sessions, covering topics such as: Why does it hurt so much? Feelings of Guilt, Dealing with Anger, and Communicating with Family and Friends. A certified grief counselor leads the groups. If you have lost a loved one in the previous year and would like to share your grief in a caring and supportive group, please call (973) 322-5015 for information. Group enrollment is limited and reservations are required.
