The Saint Barnabas Senior Health Network

The Saint Barnabas Senior Health Network membership program is a valuable free resource for adults ages 50 and older. The focus of the program is to educate seniors and encourage healthy lifestyles through various activities. Educational lectures, health screenings, support groups, exercise classes, continuing education courses and social activities are conveniently held at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and The Saint Barnabas Ambulatory Care Center. Membership Means a Lot . . . Membership in the Saint Barnabas Senior Health Network entitles adults age 50 and over to the following benefits:

  • Lectures/seminars by medical professionals, (i.e., arthritis, good nutrition, osteoporosis)
  • Access to support groups, (i.e., bereavement, caregiver support, Parkinson's Disease)
  • Saint Barnabas Trail Walkers and/or exercise classes
  • Grotta Resource Center on Aging Library
  • SHIP Counseling (State Health Insurance Assistance Program)
  • Defensive Driving Courses
  • Free newsletter and calendar of events
  • Knitting Circle: a volunteer program for making hats for newborns
  • Seniors Helping Seniors: volunteers make patient visits in the hospital
  • Special discounts at area restaurants and businesses
  • Information and referral
  • Senior Dinner Program
