Saint Barnabas Medical Center Presents "Living
A Life of Joy” with Patch Adams Livingston, N.J. -- The inspiration for the hit movie Patch Adams will speak at Saint Barnabas Medical Center on April 1, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. Patch Adams, M.D., is not only a physician, he is a social activist, professional clown, and Director of the Gesundheit Institute, a holistic medical community that has provided health care to thousands of patients since 1971. All over the world, Patch shares his message of caring, infusing humor into health care. He believes that happiness may be the most important health factor in a person’s life. Through his lectures, Patch likes to stir things up and make people think. Patch’s presentation, "Living A Life of Joy”, will explore ideas on being happy and serve as a reminder to explore the audacious idea of living happy. He will discuss how to discover the incredible thrill of choosing to live everyday with joy. Following the lecture, Patch will take questions from the audience. This special April Fools’ Day program will be presented free to community members. The program will take place in the Islami Auditorium at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, 94 Old Short Hills Road in Livingston. Free parking will be provided.
