Saint Barnabas Medical Center Named One of the Nation's Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report for Neurology and Neurosurgical Services LIVINGSTON, NJ (July 21, 2009) – Saint Barnabas Medical Center is ranked in the area of Neurology and Neurosurgery in U.S. News's 2009-10 publication of America’s Best Hospitals. This guide ranks hospitals that excel in specified kinds of medical and surgical care based on a variety of rigorous criteria. Saint Barnabas Medical Center is the only hospital in New Jersey to achieve this recognition for Neurology and Neurosurgical Services. We are listed among the nation’s premier centers. The Comprehensive Epilepsy Center has been named a Level 4 specialized epilepsy center by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC). The Level 4 designation is the highest given by the NAEC and identifies those centers that offer the broadest range of complex medical and surgical treatments for epilepsy. The program is one of only three in New Jersey to earn this designation. In addition to traditional approaches, new surgical procedures and innovative medical advancements are available, some pioneered by Saint Barnabas physicians.
