Due to the high number of flu cases in New Jersey, the Saint
Barnabas Health Care System is taking steps to protect our
patients, their families and staff by temporarily limiting
visitation in our hospitals, clinics and doctors’ offices.
These restrictions apply at Saint Barnabas Medical Center,
Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Clara Maass Medical Center,
Monmouth Medical Center, Kimball Medical Center, Community
Medical Center, Saint Barnabas Behavioral Health Center and
all Long Term Care Facilities, and Ambulatory Care Centers.
These restrictions on visitation include:
No visitors under 18. No one under the age of 18
is allowed in the hospital unless they are a patient. Special
consideration can be arranged as described below.
No sick visitors. Individuals with fever, cough,
sore throat, fatigue, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
will not be permitted to visit.
Special considerations will be made for Hospice or terminally
ill patients.
