Single Digital EKG System

GE’s Muse cardiology information system is another tool for managing the flow of cardiac information. CMC is now live on the latest version and CMMC will soon follow. SBMC and MMC are expected to be on line in September, with NBI anticipated for late 2009. This new single EKG system helps physicians analyze and interpret studies quickly and with confidence. Additionally, at some sites the system will store Stress results from integrated GE Stress systems.

  • The easy-to-use format and screen displays are designed to be physician friendly.

  • It eliminates the need for transcription.

  • Provides remote access via Citrix for physicians on the EKG reading panel.

  • EKG carts are connected through a wireless network and include preloaded work lists instead of manual entry which creates patient safety issues.

  • The integrated system shares results across all Saint Barnabas Heart Centers and the new web product will allow physicians to serially present EKGs across the Saint Barnabas Health Care System for comparison.

  • Billing is automated on confirmation.
