John B. Checton, MD, Section Chief of Cardiology at Monmouth
Medical Center, received his medical degree from the University
of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey Medical School. He
completed a residency in internal medicine at Monmouth Medical
Center and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the
University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Checton
has special interest in coronary artery disease. He is board
certified in internal medicine, cardiology and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Checton has participated in the clinical investigation
of several medication research studies. He is a published
author and is a member of numerous medical associations including
the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association,
the American Society of Echocardiography and the American
Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
