In January 2009 the CF Center at Monmouth Medical Center became a Therapeutic Development Center (TDC). We are a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutics Development Network (CFFTDN) that specializes in conducting clinical trials to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of new CF therapies. TDN Centers work together to promote quality, safety and efficacy in CF trails by centralizing and standarizing the research process.
Clinical reseach at our CF Center is under the direction of Robert Zanni, MD, a Certified Primary Investigator (CPI) by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). He is also a member of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Physician Investigators. The clinical research team includes other phsician investigators and two research coordinators, our respiratory therapist and our registered dietician.
