Donate Life License Plate Promotes Organ Donation

Transplant Association, in support of New Jersey's new Donate Life license plate. The specialty plate became available in April 2002 through the New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles. Plates may be purchased for leased or owned cars and trucks for an initial fee of $50, or $100 for personalized plates containing up to five characters. A yearly renewal fee of $10 will go directly toward organ and tissue donation education programs in New Jersey. The Donate Life plate features the National Gift of Life Rose representing organ and tissue donors, and the green ribbon represents the national symbol for organ and tissue donation.
