The Children's Hospital at Community Medical Center

The Valerie Fund Children’s Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders is now part of the J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center

It is with great pleasure that we announce the opening of the Valerie Fund Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders
at Community Medical Center. The Center has been made possible through the generosity of Wawa Food Markets.

Located within the J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center at Community Medical Center, the new pediatric cancer and
hematology program is affiliated with The Children’s Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center and brings access to this exceptional pediatric subspecialty care at a convenient location in Ocean County, close to home.

This program is part of a select network of hospitals in the tri-state area of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Our hospitals are part of The Valerie Fund Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, one of the nation’s largest and most advanced pediatric oncology/hematology networks, providing care to more than 5,000 children with cancer and blood disorders each year.

Community’s new Valerie Center provides access to comprehensive medical services to children, adolescents and young adults (from birth to age 30) with leukemia and other cancers, and blood disorders, such as sickle cell anemia, thalassemia and thrombocytopenia.
