Women's Council Initiatives

The Women's Council for the Leon Hess Cancer Center

The Women's Council also has been the driving force behind two fund-raising efforts over the years.

  • “Spa for Spirit”
“Spa for Spirit” is a day of rejuvenation, relaxation and beauty held twice a year for about 30 women who are cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment.
  • “Wrap Yourself in Love” robes*
The “Wrap Yourself in Love” luxurious robes are given to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment.

*Purchasers of these items can “donate back” a robe or bear, or they make the perfect gift to give to loved ones, knowing that a percentage of their purchase price benefits the Leon Hess Cancer Center.
