The Pharmacy Department is a centralized operation which provides service to all units including Critical Care, Medical/Surgical Care, Orthopedics, Telemetry, Same Day Surgery, and Emergency Department. These services include verification of Computer Physician Order Entry (CPOE) orders, preparation of IV Admixtures, automatic IV to PO conversions, Automatic Therapeutic Substitutions and Renal Dosage Adjustments. In addition, the Pharmacy Department supports Wound Healing and Bariatric Medicine, Workplace and Ambulatory Medicine, Joint Replacement Center, Out-patient Infusion Center, Emergency Medicine, Stress Testing, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Oncology, Surgery, Radiology and Mobile Intensive Care.

The Pharmacy Department oversees the Diabetes Self-Management Center. The Self-Management Center has been recognized by the American Diabetes Association continually for almost 20 years. The center boasts one of the most diverse multidisciplinary Diabetes Care teams: one Pharmacist, two Dietitians, two Nurses, and one Exercise Physiologist. Every member of the team is a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE®) through the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators. The CDE® credential has become a standard of excellence for the delivery of quality Diabetes Education. Our goal is to present our patients with only health professionals who indisputably possess comprehensive knowledge of and experience in Diabetes Management, Prediabetes, and Diabetes prevention.

Interdisciplinary cooperation involves participation in the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Affiliate Council, Patient Safety Committee, Patient Outcomes Council, Medical Outcomes Council, Patient Experience Committee, Diabetes Advisory Committee, Infection Prevention Committee, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Continuing Medical Education Committee, Nursing Informatics, Interdisciplinary Practice Council, Health Information Management Council, Discharge and Transition of Care Committee, Emergency Management Team, Medication and Pain Control Committee, Patient and Family Education Committee and Employee General Orientation.
